Juliana Velez is an associate with the Law Offices of Mark Sherman. Prior to joining the Firm, Juliana worked for a criminal defense and personal injury litigation firm in Fairfield County for twenty years. Her career began as a legal assistant where she quickly developed a passion for zealous advocacy. This passion along with her dedication to helping others motivated Juliana to attend law school. She attended Quinnipiac University School of Law part-time, while continuing to work full-time, and raising her young daughter. In 2021, she earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from The Quinnipiac School of Law.

Since passing the Connecticut Bar Examination in 2021, Juliana has represented clients in criminal and civil matters appearing in courthouses throughout the State of Connecticut. She believes in second chances and fairness in our justice system and fights to ensure the best result for every one of her clients.

In addition to her Juris Doctor, Juliana holds an Associate’s Degree from Norwalk Community College in Business Administration, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Technology from the University of Connecticut.

Juliana received a Super Lawyers Rising Stars recognition in (2023). Juliana is fluent in Spanish.
